Vhi Healthcare announce price and benefit changes – 1 September 2023

Price changes

On 1 September 2023, Vhi will change the price of the following plans:

• PMI 38 14 – price increase from €1784.36 to €1794.28 per adult per year
• PMI 19 11 – price increase from €1297.24 to €1360.87 per adult per year

Benefit changes

On 1 September 2023, Vhi will make benefit changes to the following plans:

• PMI 38 14
• PMI 19 11

PMI 38 14

• Inclusion of Vasectomy Benefit – 75% up to €400 per lifetime 
• Inclusion of New Parents Food Pack – Full cover
• Inclusion of Paediatric First Aid Course – €75
• Amendment to Physiotherapist Benefit – increase in cover from €40 x 12 visits to €45 x 18 visits
• Amendment to Optical Benefit – increase in cover for glasses/contact lenses from 75% of charges up to €200 in each 24-month period to 75% of charges up to €250 in each 24-month period
• Inclusion of Psychologist/Counsellor/Psychotherapist Benefit – €100 x 24 combined visits
• Removal of the following benefits:
  • Psychologist – €100 x 12 visits
  • Psychotherapy and Counselling – €100 x 12 visits
  • Psycho-oncology counselling – €50 x 10 visits
• Removal of approved treatment programmes for a sports injury in the Sports Surgery Clinic, Santry. Surgical procedures – full cover subject to €75 excess per claim. Non-surgical procedures – full cover subject to a €75 excess per claim and up to a maximum of two claims per member per year.

PMI 19 11

• Inclusion of Vasectomy Benefit – 50% up to €250 per lifetime 
• Inclusion of IUS Hormonal Coil – 50% up to €300 per lifetime 
• Inclusion of Vaccination – Meningitis B and Chicken Pox – €60 per inoculation (up to two inoculations for each per lifetime)
