Laya Healthcare price and benefit changes – 1 October 2024

Price changes

On 1 October 2024, Laya will change the price of the 98 plans.

Benefit changes

On 1 October 2024, Laya will make the following benefit changes to the plans.

• The Quickcare and Fracture Clinic benefits will be adjusted on 102 plans. 90 schemes will now have an excess per visit, 12 plans will have full cover with no excess. The benefit per scheme is detailed in the attached file ‘Benefit Changes by Product.
• 73 schemes will have an adjustment to the Private Hospital Excess.
• 60 schemes will have an adjustment to the Hi Tech Hospital Excess.
• 50 schemes will have an adjustment to the Hi Tech Private Room Shortfall, 48 of these schemes will also have an adjustment to the Hi Tech Semi Private Room Shortfall.
• Essential and CompanyHealth schemes will have an adjustment to the Hi Tech Daycase Shortfall.
• 35 schemes will have an adjustment to the Child Counselling benefit. 17 of these schemes will also have adjustments to the Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy benefits.
